Mother's day should be an everyday thing but having just one day to appreciate moms for their sacrifices, time, hugs and kisses should be celebrated on a special day where it's only a family affair.

Being a mother myself for a special need child, it's never easy when you have to do it alone, it goes the same to all mother's out there. Once the father leaves for work, it's mother day trip. Over 100 varieties of buffet spread serving western, local, chinese or indian dishes. From the fresh salad corner served with condiments and dressings to appetizers duck slice (gorgeous duck slice my favourite, highly recommended to try), cold platter of seafood cocktail and many more.

Then you have the action stalls beside the pool whipping up chicken and beef satay, roasted chicken to perfection and juicy, fresh baked snapper and a whole lots of fresh seafood.

BINTANG REVOLVING RESTAURANT, 1st revolving restaurant, established in 1968. It's very nostalgic, you can find it's old steel gates from old school time as they close up for the night. You can't find that type much nowadays...

Hahaha I had a swell time adventuring up till the 18th floor, with me being very afraid of high places hahaha I had to hold the wall as the restaurant turn around, which will take about 45 minutes per round. It was fun and gorgeous from up there.

HISTORY OF THE 1ST INTERNATIONAL HOTEL

THE FEDERAL HOTEL KUALA LUMPUR

I bet some of us wouldn't glace a second time as we pass by the hotel right? Being a 1st timer stepping foot in the Hotel, I see Old and New. Understanding their history behind how they started, I can understand why. The hotel is the same age as Merdeka. 2016 will be their 59 years in operation. It was build purposely to Welcome our 1st Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman in 1957. He intended to have a world class accommodation for his distinguish guest who will be celebrating Malaya's first Independence Day on August 31. It was only 9 storey high then. And through time, The Federal Hotel KL has revamp themselves until 18 floor. But even then, as you walk through, you will find history in it.

As I walk by their wall of history mileage, I am proud to be a Malaysian. And Thank You to the management of The Federal Hotel KL for preserving that little portion for us to remember back again and for the young ones to know the history. If I wish to spend my merdeka night, I would spend it here in The Federal Hotel KL for that special feeling and ambiance.
