My trip to Ipoh, the town itself has always shown that it's simple with everything. Not lavish but still modern. Not too new but yet with a little history to it. It has always been a transit with Ipoh. Never ever stopping for an overnight, or longer than 24 hours.

There is so many reasons to why you should choose to stay in Weil Hotel, Ipoh. The Hotel itself provides almost everything in a building and more. It's very convenient in a way if you are in Ipoh for a holiday, business trip or even just for a stopover night to stay (since its located right in the middle of North to South). I went carpooling with couple of friends. 2.5 hours of car ride with a stopover at Tapah R&R as they need to have lunch. Tapah R&R is one of many R&R that has facilities such as food eateries, toilets, suraus and fruits stalls. Luckily it's fasting month so my budget got saved lah hahaha To exit out from the PLUS Highway to Ipoh, you can do so via Simpang Pulai or Ipoh. Both exit will bring you into Ipoh town. Took us 20 minutes (exiting via Simpang Pulai) to reach Weil Hotel, Ipoh.

Wholly owned by Thong Fook Group, WEIL Hotel Ipoh opens it's door in 2014. The Thong Fook Group has been in Malaysia since 1945 via the ground nut Pagoda Brand. Since then the management has grown and diversified their business from plastics manufacturing till more, and now hospitality industry. Weil Hotel Ipoh is headed by Mr. Liew Yu-Wei, Executive Director, WEIL Resources Sdn Bhd, youngest son to Datuk Liew Sew Yee, Chairman of Thong Fook Corporation. WEIL Hotel, consist of 313 units of rooms and suites.

CAR PARK
Located beside Ipoh Parade, parking is a must via the mall once, and then to the hotel's parking inside from Level 3 to 5. Hotel guest after checking out, once validation is done, you exit the hotel parking and the mall Free of Charge.

GROUND FLOOR - LOBBY

The moment I arrive at the lobby, it was huge, very calming or slow you could say. You don't feel as if you need to rush. Checking in is also very efficient. Weil Hotel, Ipoh has a tablet at the check in line, those are for their monthly promotions. While you get check-in, you can actually browse that. It's very huge and relaxing. More photos

Certified Halal by JAKIM. They offers both local and international menus. Located on lobby level, with an open ambience, airy and spacious. They have monthly themed buffet and during Ramadhan it's 'Citarasa Utara'.

Serves afternoon tea or weekend high tea buffet. Each month tea lounge will have a monthly promo and June its Earl Grey Tea with waffle topped with creamy chicken oh gosh imagining it is already making hungry...

They also have ALL-YOU-can-EAT Sunday Dessert Buffet.

LEVEL 1 - YUK SOU HIN, CHINESE FINE DINING
Yuk Sou Hin, is Chinese Fine Dining, the only Hong Kong cuisine in Ipoh. They don't serve pork but they do serve wine. Their signature dish is Smoked Duck with lychee wood. They have private rooms as well if you wish to have your meal away from the crowd, business dinner, etc. I was told that they also served Dim Sum Buffet here for breakfast... hungry already leh..

The best part of everything is the guest rooms.

My Room was the Superior, cost at RM 320 per night. What I love about the room I was in,

The Personalized Welcome Card from the General Manager himself was most appreciative.
I could control the air-con.
You will find 3 types of bathing method, bathtub, shower and rain shower..hahaha i love the rain shower.
The toilet is very spacious, breathable.
The mattress was comfy, the same as other hotels but the pillow was heaven. Couldn't stop myself from falling asleep, although tried very hard not to.
Coffee making facilities, I got my favourite tea for the night and not forgetting the Pagoda Peanuts.
TV Channels was with clear reception but you can also find all the room service menu, promotions and information on it, by just clicking away.
It also has the Fridge, Safety Box, Ironing Board, Hangers and bathrobe, etc

The hotel is adjoining to Ipoh Parade which can be access directly from within the Hotel. So if you wish to just window shopping, or have something different for your meals or just plain shopping, it is very convenient as well. You can also go for a movie as there is a cinema in Ipoh Parade.

SAHUR SET MENU

Because it was Ramadhan, WEIL Hotel, Ipoh does provide Sahur Menu for those who is fasting. It's a room service and it starts from 4am onwards. Order's should be placed before 8pm the night before. Because my son wanted something different, had to order Ala-Carte for him.

Enough reasons for me to stay and come back again to WEIL Hotel, Ipoh. It's not just because of the services, the comfortable rooms with good clear TV reception, or the infinity pool, the good food prepared but it's also the hospitality rendered by the staff in the hotel.
