KL BIRD PARK, located 10 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur City Centre, right in Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens, home to 3,000 birds of about 200 species local and foreign birds. Some would think that it's only a Bird Park but don't be suprised that right within it, at the end corner from the Entrance to KL Bird Park, you will find a kampung style architecture building standing silently, but as you step into the establishment, it's equipped will all modern amenities like any restaurant would have.

First impression as you step into the restaurant and cafe, simple, cosy, spacious, but as you walk out to their open verandah, it's any nature or outdoor lovers seat down spot.
Surrounded by trees from the KL BIRD PARK, you will not be dissapointed with the view. If you are lucky enough, you will be greeted by a friend or two from the neighbourhood.
HORNBILL RESTAURANT & CAFE, is not just like any other ordinary Restaurant, they serve local and western favourites, superbly prepared by their experienced Chef. You can almost find all types of menus listed, these includes Malaysian favourites Banana Fritters (Goreng Pisang) among others.
OTHERS
It's also an ideal location to have a small meet up with family, friends or clients. Since they open from 9am - 8pm, they serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Corporate or Wedding functions would be a suitable since parking is ample and located just in front of the restaurant.
Getting to the HORNBILL RESTAURANT & CAFE @ KL BIRD PARK is not that difficult.
If you are the adventurous type, then you can either take
- KTM Komuter, drop down to KL Station.
- Walking will take at least 15 - 20 minutes walk
- GrabCar / Uber will take just about 10 minutes (depending on traffic)
- HERITAGE PARK TRAM, which will pick up visitors from Dataran Merdeka passing through KL Bird Park before turning into Lake Gardens is another option as well.
- The other option is by RAPID KL LRT to Pasar Seni Hub, get transfer by TAXI, GRABCAR or UBER.
- GOKL bus from Titiwangsa Bus Hub, look for the #redline route (which is a FREE service for all local and tourist commune) and drop down at Masjid Negara for a 15 minutes walk up to KL Bird Park
- KL HOP ON HOP OFF will also be able to send you right to KL BIRD PARK.
- And if you are not into walking, then the local TAXI, GRABCAR and UBER will be another option
DINING MENU
HORNBILL RESTAURANT & CAFE serves up local and western menus, though it looks just like the ones we can get elsewhere, here it is done perfectly and their portions are aplenty and at reasonable price. Worth paying.
