| 'DETTOL SALUTES' MALAYSIA'S COVID-19 WARRIORS |
It is no question that the COVID-19 pandemic
has claimed lives, wrecked economies, and devastated communities around the
world. However, in any adverse crisis, the strength of humanity is fortified
and reinforced through individuals who emerge as beacons of hope and
inspiration.
In Malaysia, as vulnerable communities fell deeper into despair since the start of the pandemic, there were those who, with their extraordinary contributions to this fight, held the country together at a time of suffering. From the ‘White Flag’ donors and organizers to delivery riders to those who volunteer their time at vaccination centers. These individuals gave everything they had and continue to do so, to help the people around them.
Standing in solidarity with Malaysians, Dettol is kicking-off its “Dettol Salutes” initiative to acknowledge these protectors and inspire the nation with their heroic stories by featuring the selected individual on the Dettol Liquid Hand Wash bottle with the image of the protector.
“We are honoured and proud to be able to prominently showcase these individuals on our product and to pay tribute to Malaysia’s Covid-19 warriors. We believe that their stories should be told and when shared with the greater community, will spark hope and optimism. The idea behind this initiative is to allow the public to come together and share their experiences through our social media platform and at the same time nominate their own personal heroes or protectors deserving of recognition,” said Raghunandan Srinivasan, Cluster Marketing Director Germ Protection and Hygiene of Reckitt Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.
Under this initiative, people are encouraged to head to Dettol’s Facebook page and:
- Nominate a person they believe is deserving and,
- Highlight their efforts in the comment section.
The 15 selected nominees will receive a 6-month supply of Dettol products worth almost RM500 and their stories told through the ‘Dettol Salutes’ series. Each week five ‘Protector’ stories will be posted on the brand’s social media platforms. The giveaway is a token of appreciation for their unwavering support and dedication to their communities whilst simultaneously providing them with the protection they need while carrying out their relief efforts.
The protectors pack will include Dettol Original Shower Gel, Dettol Liquid Hand Wash, Dettol Hand Sanitizer, Dettol Morning Dew Disinfectant Spray and Dettol Antiseptic Liquid ensuring that while these warriors continue to help and serve the public, they can do so with better peace of mind.

every home, inspires more warriors to join in the fight against this relentless
pandemic and provides comfort to those in need as they are not alone. We are
